Math can after 10 can definitely be tricky. I will get some math strategies together for you and Big A to build on what she already knows. Making 10 is such an important skills and really helps students to get ready for double digits, place value and even multiplication, so that is awesome that you have been able to practice that strategy in game form. It is great that Big A is able to practice reading picture books as well as the Bible. How are you finding her understanding after she reads? Is she able to retell what she read? It is great how you are incorporating the Bible into her copy work, gives it so much purpose and helps to "hide the words in her heart." To extend the writing piece a bit, she could write and illustrate a story from the Bible, even with mom writing one page and Big A writing the next? Helping with a parade float sounds like so much fun! Do you have picture? Big A did so many different kinds of physical activity this week, way to go! Thank you for all of the notes. It sounds like a great week! Can't wait to hear about what Big A did with her SEA.
